Reps. Robin Kelly and Pramila Jayapal led 26 members of Congress in a letter to major tech and telecom companies demanding answers on how they handle DHS administrative subpoenas. The letter states that "DHS has used this authority to identify, surveil, and intimidate individuals based on speech and political expression protected by the First Amendment." The inquiry targets Google, Meta, Reddit, Discord, Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Snap, TikTok, and X.
